You'll find Georges on the hill of Portscatho just a five minute walk from the beach and heart of Portscatho Village, next door to us you'll find The Standard Pub run by the well known owers of the Hidden Hut.
Portscatho and its neighbouring village of Gerrans are located on the eastern coast of the Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall, overlooking the dramatic Gerrans Bay. If you are driving to the village you have two options you can take the A30 from Bodmin and follow it to the Roseland Penisula, both Gerrans and Portscatho are well signposted. Upon entering the village we are at the top of the hill, the first house next to the Standard pub. If you are facing the church we are to the right of the church on the road that leads down to the sea.
If you are approaching the Roseland from Truro we suggest taking the King Harry Ferry, especially if you have little ones on board they'll love the adventure. Taking the ferry across the Fal is the most picturesque way to approach the Roseland, it has been described as one of the most beautiful ferry crossings on the planet so is certainly worth a visit.
Please note George's does not have parking but to the rear of the property there is a large free parking car park no more than 30 metres away. Take a right at the Standard and you'll find it on the left hand side directly after the green, this is a particularly good spot for some incredible views.
Just opposite George's is a local bus stop, the 50 will get you to Truro, Probus, Tregony & St Mawes. There are only plenty of buses each day out of the village but from Truro they leave approximately every two hours. The closest train stations would be St Austell, Falmouth or Truro.
